I've had 15 pages of my 2 month old site jump up into having PR rankings so far over the past couple days. 1 is a PR 4... my root page isn't showing PR yet on the toolbar or w/ the PR check but it is showing a PR6 in google directory now (had to of happened in the past week).

I've also got 3 other 1 month old sites showing some PR2-3 pages.

I use uptimebot.com to check PR across all the pages of my sites daily.

Some type of PR update is going on for sure.

Weird thing is I have no idea why that page is showing a PR4, I have no direct backlinks to it and right now the only page I've been building links into that links to it still shows a PR0 but PR6 in google directory... wonder why they would update PR of inner pages first. Maybe its random...

My front page remained PR3, however many of my internal pages that had no PR jumped to PR2. The pages that jumped are news, weather, maps, links, our yahoo! groups news rss feed, the forums index.

This occured in the last two days or so. I think I noticed yesterday.

The only change I saw within the last few weeks was a url got back its pr when using:domain.com

It was only showing with www.domain.com and the domain.com was zero for a bit. All back to normal now. Very Minimal and not considered anything in my book.......a REAL update would be nice right about now ;)

Same here, I've been checking several of mine that I have no doubt will increase in PR. Even a few that are just a few weeks old. I'm not seeing anything from my sites.

Since my first post, one of my sites that had dropped off the charts after Feb 7th suddenly reappeared this afternoon. From position none to position 5.

Maybe it's coincidental. I was about as surprised it reappeared as when it disappeared. I monitor it, along with many other sites daily.

    No PR changes though.

My christmas hoax page was put up in late December and should (!) get some page rank ... but still showing zippo ... I gotta believe when a true PR update happens, it will show a little bit of green bar.

I voted no change BUT I have one site that dropped to 3 from 4 in the toolbar. DP's tool still shows a PR 4.

    I'm off to investigate further.

Well, using several different tools to check PR I find that every DC shows this site with PR 3. DP's tool shows it at PR 4 *shrug*

If I had to guess, I would say that there has not been, or perhaps there has only been, and partial PR update?

Who really knows at this point. I am fairly certain that March is the month, though I am not convinced it has happened yet. I'm in no hurry to see it update anyway.

I haven't seen anything yet. I'm expecting my shopping site, currently PR0, to pick up some PR, perhaps as much as 4, but probably a 3. My search engine site is a 4 but I expect it to go down as I'm just not doing anything with it right now. The interesting thing is I checked them on some of the "future PR" tools out there and got some interesting results. They all say the shopping site will stay at a PR0. That's not going to happen. The site will probably get a 3 like I said, but it's got to at least get a 1. It says the search site will stay at 4. Also not going to happen, although, it was a PR4 when I turned the domain back on a couple months ago, and was off the net for at least 6 months before that, so who knows? The worst part is the forums at the search site. Currently they're also a 4 and will definitly loose some PR. Just go to http://bbs.axelis.com. There's nothing at all going on there yet. Still, the "future PR" tools all say the same thing. It's going to be a PR10 after the next update. Obviously, that's not going to happen. So much for their credibility. I'd be real interested if anyone has done an analysis of these tools to see just how accurate they really are. If a forum that no one even know about and that has a grand total of 1 post can be projected to PR10 I have to question pretty much everything.

I'd be interested as well, regarding a future pr tool. I've seen a PR theory chart on Compar's site and have seen others mention it's inline with their thinking. If there was a way (and there may be, I'm not familiar with the API) to query current page rank, then query backlinks, then query the PR of those backlinks, there might be a better way to predict future page rank. Though it would still be a guess, it might be more in line with real world results.

Not being familiar with the API, I would guess that would probably be too taxing on the api to do though.

take the www off of my domain and I am either PR4 or PR1, depending on the data centers right now. 2 weeks ago, I was a solid PR4 without the www. Not sure if that means anything or not. I first noticed the change on the digital point backlink tool, as my backlinks dropped from around 400 on google to zero if the www is left out

Yes, the www and other factors are, well, factors. My search site is PR4, but only with www.axelis.com. If you leave off the www, or do www.axelis.com/index.php it's PR0. Since G sees those two things as separate links, which must be the case as they have both of them indexed, then they are obviously assessed for PR separately. It's funny, I always figured with the next PR update they would even out. I never even considered that one has a bunch of links to it and the other doesn't! DUH!
