Hey guys, registered last week and have been reading some posts. I think this is a great place to start an affiliate log. I think I'm more of an intermediate - I'm way past the beginner stage of just slapping on a bunch aff links and product images on my site - I've built up some great SEO to my site, newsletter subscribers close to 1000.

The name of my blog is ShahTraining.com, a website devoted to teaching people how to exercise with limited time and limited equipment.

Lets start off with some recent success - I usually make one sale per day, maybe 2-3 days per week. Over the weekend, I made 3 sales on Sat and Sun. I tried to repeat the results for today, and so far no sales.

    Hypothesis: Type of blog post

On the weekends, I wrote posts that presented a type of workout. Upon analysis of my previous posts, I discovered that on any day where I presented a particular workout routine or exercise demonstration, it resulted in a sale. If I made a list post or presented tips or methods without workouts or demos, than I did not get a ton of traffic to my site, and so did not make any affiliate sales.

This can not be coincidence. So for this upcoming week, all my posts will be either workouts or exercise descriptions. I will be conducting the same experiment on my Article Marketing articles.

Second thing - this is just a hunch, but I have two seperate mailing lists. First is for subscribers for when I was not doing a lot of affiliate marketing. These individuals are used to me writing long, posts. The subscribers on this group seem to be dropping like flies.

The second group is a new one I started this week. I notice almost immediate slaes when I send emails through this group. TOmorrow I will send my blog post to ONLY this group, see if makes any difference. In addition I know for a fact that the number of daily subscribers is related to sales.

Hence. what really is at the top of my priority is to convert as many subsribes as possible. I'm currently at an average of 10-20 per day. I made a few modifications to my landing page and I'm already way past 30 subs for today. Tomorrow I'm expecting close to 50 (since I made the modification at around 12 pm).

To review, the two main things I will be focusing on this week is to write workout or exercise related blog posts, and to find ways to grow my mailing list as fast possible. The goal is at least 100 per day.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

So last night I did some analysis and realized that 74% of my sales come from Email Marketing. But here's the problem with email marketing: my target market consists of busy professionals - these people are so busy that they can only open their emails on the weekends. So my sales usually fall around friday, saturday, sunday.

So that means almost each week monday-thursday there's either just 1 sale or 0 sales. I'm trying to remedy this problem with article marketing, but it doesn't seem to be working to well. I am getting hits back with my articles, but they are not converting too well.

I'm guessing it has a lot to do with my landing page. I have two landing pages, one on my site, and another "dud" site I use for testing purposes only. Can you guys take a look and provide feedback? Thanks in advance

I also have a lot of other products on my site with different templates for the landing page. The Glad Body ebook was converting really well, so I thought that it had something to do with the landing page. Now I'm thinking it just converts becuase of email traffic. People know me, and trust me, so they buy from me.

Now I need to create a landing page for people who don't know me too well. Here is where all the products I promote are: http://shahtraining.com/store/

    Any help would be appreciated!

Just made a sale! It was frustrating after 3 days of no sales, I finally made on today. It was 45.41 off of ONE product. On the weekends, I made 3 sales each day, and it was around 30-40 bucks. Maybe I'm just promoting the wrong product. Who knows.

I know for a fact that this one was not off my email list. I'm guessing ezine articles. I was working on a landing page for another product, but I might just end up switching back to the product that just gave me a sale.

    Not sure what to do.
