    Hi

We moved server providers for our site www.vacparts.net , since we have done this we have lost the PART NUMBER option in our shop settings when listing new products .

This as you can imagine has really caused some headaches because now when people order we have no part number to refer to so there is no telling what lets say belling element is between another belling element .

I think in the switch we have upgraded from an old cpanel to a new one and this has caused problems is there anyway of putting a part number option back in at all ? .

    Alan

Hopefully i have explained it the best i can .

Maybe your old host had 'register_globals' set to on and your new host has them set to off, anything above PHP 4.2 has the default as off.

If your part number was referenced as a variable such as $part_number instead of a direct call to one of the globals such as $_POST["part_number"] - this could be your problem.

You need to give us more details, especially about the old host's config and the new one's.

There are ways to "emulate" register_globals.
