Parodying Music In Videos

On a site of mine, I make and broadcast satirical political news videos. I was wondering if I would run into copyright problems if I parodied a song in a video. Specifically, would I need to get permission to take a beat off of a rap song or guitar riff/chords of a pop song and change the words?

If you won't have the song writer's and/or publisher's written permission to use the music part of a song, you'll violate the composition's copyrights.
