OK I have read a lot around these forums that you should premptively buy domains because with Google indexing sites the way they are age is just as important as content. I have just premptively bought a few domains and I was wondering what I should do with them to ensure when I have the time in the future that they will be ready for the content and quickly indexed without having to spend months and months in the sandbox.
if you have an existing domain, you can park those new domains you have bought to your account or better park them at sedo or namedrive.
Does parking domains at Sedor Namedrive effect your domain in anyway... like give it a bad rep with Google or do google bots see the domain as being associated with keywords that you don't want it to be associated with?
park at a place like sedo and you will also be able to see what kind of traffic the 'contentless' domain gets. this will be usefull in evaluating the domains/site's future price.
Well I plan to actually make use of the domain later - I just dont have time to work on them right now. I just want to know what is the best way for google to see them as registered so they take them out of the sandbox before I work on them.
Why not just write a quick page of content describing whats going to be on the site, then put a news feed on the bottom of it. You can probably do it in 20 mins, if you spend another 10 mins on content/SEO you should even have enough content to put google ads on. Then just leave it to age until you're ready. (This presumes that your host allows free add ons, and that you only have a few domains). And like everyone else says you can also park it.
I find I can install wordpress and make a couple of postings in about 15 minutes. Then I try to get back once or twice a month to make another post.
