Parking domains - Is there a trick to the settings?

I have about 85 parked domains split between trafficlcub, godaddy, and namedrive. The results, with one domain as an exception, are pathetic.

Before I entirely give up on this, is there an art to the settings? I've called their help desks and sent in emails and gotten some feedback that it makes a big difference as to whether it's well tuned or not. But no guidance on how to go about tuning them.

I'm eager for ideas on what constitutes good "tuning". Is there some reputable guy/gal out there that will explain this to me at some reasonable rate per hour.

If you want more details on my results, i have a blog post on it that shows up first if you google: intermediate seo

targeting your domains is an important part of earnings. automated systems are nice, but basically it comes down to a balancing act between product category and product form. are your visitors looking for a specific service or a type of services?
example: are they looking to buy a new honda or are they looking for information about cars?
both would probably target towards cars, but one might convert a lot better if optimized into 1 click lander for buying hondas. the traffic looking for cars probably would convert better on a 2 click lander with links to car dealerships, car manufacturers, car reviews, etc

basically you need to figure out what they are looking for and match it using tools to estimate click value and click through rate. it also comes down to testing, see what works best and earns the most, but educated guesses can make a huge difference.

Well done! you had split all your 85 domains towards all different baskets. This will enable you to judge the best payout company for your hardworking efforts. :)

You should probably develop at least some of your domains. You can use Wordpress and some nice free templates and write some unique articles, etc.

It all comes down to having great domains that get a lot of type in traffic. Domain parking sucks, in general. I now have over 150 domains parked and make less than pocket change each month. The problem is that the landing pages you get with all of these services look awful and generic, and encourage nothing but closed browser windows.

the uglier they are, the more people click. it's been empirically shown time and time again for parking. nice landers often confuse users and get lower CTRs==lower earnings.
