Parked Domain

    Can someone please explain to me what a parked domain is and why someone may want one.

    A parked domain name is a domain that is stationary, and not used for its intended purpose. It could contain some value if it brings in a bunch of traffic, the majority of parked domain names have just basic ad pages up. Take a look at Sedo.com they are a large domain parking firm.

    Any domain that you purchase can be turned into a parked domain as explained aboved.

    What you can need one for? to monetize while you put up online your real content, if any.
