You don't have to worry about traffic when you decide to park the domain. It will be hosted at the parking hosting of one particular company.

The only thing you have to do is do a well keyword research before you buy the domain and parked it.

i don't feel its worth parking, unless its really good domain name, and if you receive that natural visitors

I think we don't promote a parked domain like we did on any seo/ppc domain. It'll get traffic by itself since it hosted on parked hosting. This is just what I thought on parked domain's traffic. Or isn't it?

I make about $500/year on domain parking with around 350 parked domains (and I own about 450 total). Every parked page I have has been individually SEO'ed and I'm not doing anything to break the TOS.

In other words, I'm making a HUGE loss.

hehe...yeah...I started out with just a handful of domains. At the most...I had a few thousand. I recently let a lot of non earners go, and now I am down to about 1500-1600 or so i think. If you do it right...you can make lots of money from the very first domain you register. I personally have registered a good number of domains that earn anywhere from $50-$250/month EACH. I dont BUY names very often...but when I do, I typically search for domains that I know will make money(I compare to similar domains that I own) that are not parked or anything. I will offer a good chunk of cash to the owner(at least it is a good chunk for them, but typically is only about 6 months revenue once I park it). I recently spent $1000 for 3 domains that were not parked. Once I parked them, they are earning around $6-$10/day. They will be fully profitable in under a year. I LOOVE the parking biz. I also have a music career as a producer/writer....so I don't have a lot of time to develop anything.

    take care!

    Aloha!

the best thing to do is just to start off by getting domains with natural type in traffic. For the most part if you are doing anything to generate traffic to a parked domain, it will violate the TOS.

BTW Erline....I have parked with about all of them myself. Sedo gets a bad rap from lots of domainers, but I honestly LOVE them. Regular sedo doesnt earn much and that is the issue. HOWEVER, if you are bringing in lots of traffic revenue, they will make you Sedo pro and your earnings jump tremendously as you get a MUCH MUCH higher rev share. I tried a few names directly with Google, and found that I actually earned more by going through Sedo Pro or Parked. I have used Namedrive as well and they tend to perform well for ccTLDs. I had a bunch of names at DomainSponsor too, but my earnings PLUMMETED there so I moved everything out. I also have found that a lot of ccTLD names do well at Bodis. Hope this helps!

As what everydayprofit said, we need to generate traffics to our domain in order to get more revenue. Does this method will increase our cost? Many people just parked their domain for money without doing anything and some said they earn but others said they failed. I am a bit confuse here. Which one is true? Does domain parking really can give us income or not..?

To clarify, I guess: Domain parking CAN generate income. You cannot promote traffic yourself, as it is usually against parking TOS... I believe everydayprofit didn't say that you need to generate traffic, he was refering to already existing traffic: either you have a good domain name that has type-in traffic (natural or residual), or you'll generate no parking income. There is no SEO for domain parking, only good choices of domain name.

What do you think is best? invest in already registered and aged domains or invest in brand new domains? What works better for domain parking business according to you?

As far as I know, I believe you can park any domain you own. However, if you already have a developed domain, aged, AND with traffic, there are many other better ways to monetize it than parking. In that case forget parking: focus on content, SEO, and ads/affiliate... it will generate A LOT more value for you and for your visitors. That's my opinion, at least.

A parked page is no more than a single page with ads... it offers next to nothing to visitors, making them only one-shot visits that land there by type-in or mistake. Plus, people can seldom find your parked domain in search engines, as they are not supposed to be indexed and well-ranked. With a developed domain, you can get repeat visitors, get seen in search engines, and earn over and over.

If you still want to park, then the most important is still a good and short domain name... aged domains may have residual traffic, so they will possibly do a bit better (good new domains are difficult to find nowadays anyway). But it will drop over time as well, as soon as visitors realize that it is no longer developed. Developing will be a much better use for them, providing more value for your money.
