    Hi friends,

What is the advantage of having a parked domain? Will this result in more traffic?
Suppose if we register a new parked domain for our website, Do we have to do SEO for this new parked domain?

I plan to have an addon domain and redirect it to one of my affiliate URL. So, how to proceed with SEO in this case. Since this is domain re-direction my domain will not have any content, how to do SEO and how google views this type of sites?

if you do domain re-direction, you'd better do 301 not 302.

Parked Domain and Addon Domain are 2 different things.

You can't optimize a parked domain as it is used to serve advertisement through domain registrar.

On the other hand I don't find any benefit of redirecting an addon domain to affiliate as if the domain has no content then I assuming it is not optimized and therefore, you will get no benefit to redirect it. The better option is to create content on the addon domain related to affiliate URL and link your affiliate page from the content. In this way your addon domain will get some content and chances of ranking on search engines and you can also insert link on content pages.

correct , Parked Domain and Addon Domain are 2 different things. If your going to use 301 redirect no need to do addon domains. You can do that from domain level. Just redirect from domain without adddon. It is much better.

For domain redirection, Will google not consider the affiliate site content as my domain content? Will google penalise for this type redirection?

Have you considered pointing your DNS from your registrar to your hosting account without the 301 redirect? Godaddy and other hosting companies are offering this. You cannot do this with the smalles hosting account at Godaddy, but their Deluxe version that costs about 7 $ pr month allows unlimited websites and 150 GB storage. You can buy ONE hosting account and host as many domains you want to under ONE account and it will look like SEPARATE domain names from the outside.

Make sure that you do not du any other than 301 redirects and make sure your content is only accessible on ONE url. make sure that http://www.domainname.com and http://domainname.com is not available at the same time. Always redirect one of them to the other with a 301 redirect. I recommend that you do this by using either a .htaccess file or by sending an email to your hosting company telling that you want a permanent 301 redirect. Make sure that they do not involve any meta refresh, aliasing or other. 301 (moved permanently) only!
