It would be funny to see what the French police did if some Jewish festival was planned in that neighborhood. Would they take the extra step and snuff it out?

    Well done...

It is something that is done to irritate them rather than they actually having some purpose with it.

I'm uncertain specifically about the Goutte-d'Or neighborhood of northern Paris, but I've read muslims praying in the street in Paris have created quite a disturbance. Here's a letter of complaint to Nicolas Sarkozy in 2009. So, the Sausage and Booze party is probably a reaction to this.

That is like banning a block party barbecue - plenty of people prefer pork sausages, and every likes beer.

I wonder if in the future they'll ban that kind of thing too, simply because some of the sausages are bound to be pork. >.<'

Women wearing clothes offends me. Let's hope the French police have the good sense to ban that too. :p

As a woman I support this policy - provided there is a foot note to this new law ensuring all buildings are kept at a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius, and that the law only applies to physically in-shape females ranging in age from 18 to, I don't know, 45?
