i mean is it trademarked... actually nvm i just looked it up on http://www.uspto.gov its trademarked..btw ive seen alot of sites using parishilton___.com can someone clear that out for me ??
I guess it depends how you use the site. A lot of people have fansites or whatever, or non-official sites. You just have to state something like "This is the non-official fansite of Paris Hilton". And like I said, it all depends. If Paris doesn't like what is on the site I guess she could sue you too.
superblog is right, just stick that info on there. the thing is, paris has other things going on doesnt she, she cares more about which fingernail paint she's going to use. you got a great domain there, go make some money! (or sell it to me, so i can $$$)
Technically nothing is illegal until found out.. If you're making $50/day pulling in only a few thousands visitors, why would Paris Hilton spend the time going after you? On the other hand, if you were raking in thousands, and serving thousands of visitors a day, someone may catch on.. But until then, run your idea, make some money, and if anyone has anything to say about it, they'll write you a C&D, and you'll take it down before any legal issues come up..
Q: If a man crosses a road in the middle of the block (with no crosswalk), but no one was around to see, did he jaywalk? A: Yes. One may not be able to be prosecuted until they are caught, but that has nothing to do with whether the actions were legal or not.
And there, folks, is the actual answer. Depending on how you intend to use it, someone might have issues with it.
