Paraphraser MOD possible?

Discussion in 'Directories' started by donttrustthisposter, Apr 13, 2007.

I was wondering if there is paraphraser software preferably freeware in php or if someone already has something like this in their directory?

Just wanted to look, curious, not insinuating anything.

what do you mean by paraphraser? As in, it will paraphrase your descriptions?? Don't think that is quite possible.....

    I think Anon is almost spot on. When people use informenter ( guilty as charged unfortunately ) or these submission places they revolve about 4-5 max of different descriptions giving you duplicate content and LOTS of it. Lets say someone submits;

Now they submitted this to a gazillion directories, and it's duplicate dribble, though maybe sound advice nonetheless.

A filter to paraphrase would jumble and replace keywords making it 'original' literally skyrocketing your rankings in SERPS giving the above description minor changes

    paraphrase easy nouns

    site - website
    fast food - dining out
    booze - alcohol
    young - youthful

    Giving you fresh content

Was tinkering with the idea but seemed an underhanded approach to tackling the issue. Though any point in the 'wrong' approach more than welcome.

Thinking about on the submission page implementing the mod as a choice for submitters, as I'm going to implement a no duplicate content approach here soon.

I have seen a tool somewhere, but I am not too sure if it actually creates a unique description for you. It may simply exchanges with other synonyms. It can cause some grammatical errors then.

Not at all. Unique content is what I'm aiming for. That's the whole point.

A mod on the user end enabling a 'spice up your description' option to add upgraded words like an instant thesaurus is a cool MOD

Most directories reserve the right in their TOS to modify listings and a backend mod to 'spice up the listing' is a cool admin MOD

    :D

BTW I'm just tinkering with the idea, looking for any current software out there to take a gander at.

Loot’s of this functions on advanced scraper sites, but if you targeting quality I don’t see it as a good thing to be read by humans.

I have done it, completely rewrites for a long time now manually and I think manually is the only way to go.

I agree with Ask. Don't think this mod is too great.

The reason I asked how much they would pay, is because if your worried about duplicate content issues, its better off buying one of those submission programs that allow rotating descriptions.

I completely agree. Was looking for a semi-automated however. Obviously the mod would take place and then human 'smoothing over'.

How much? throw me a ballpark. PM me please. thanks.

Not looking to create a scraper site, just not looking to get lost in the muck.
