    Hi,

I managed to snatch paranormalactivity4.com (yup, exact movie title .com) with traffic.

I redirected it to my forum where I used to get like 5 unique visitors a day now I get around 60-80 visits a day.

What would be the selling price? How much can I expect to get?

    Thanks!

Nice grab! Thats nice type in traffic. You should have it go to a trailer you monetize or something, that forum is probably 100% bounce from users looking for the movie. I dunno about copyright stuff tho, have you had any emails from the movie company? With the emd update its not AS powerful for rankings but its still a sick domain. Those movies are real popular, I would keep it until the dvd/blu ray comes out and get it ranking as an affiliate site or something. I have read that often times instead of a legal battle end users will just pay you a bit less than their estimated laywer fees to buy the domain, so if an xx,xxx offer comes in out of the blue take it before you get taken. That's probably the best case scenario tho, I have also heard horror stories of domains getting seized instantly and years of work on a successful website lost. this is why I choose to stay away from copyright possible domains, just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I am thinking about creating PA4 website and then put DVDs from Amazon and banners to Love Film or Netflix. Well, it cost me really a bargain so I guess it will pay off at the end of month especially when it has around 50-80 daily visitors. There was a spike last week and used to get like 150 visits a day. Damn

That's normal. I created this thread 2012. In fact, I did it a few days ago lol

Anyway, I am a bit short of time but I think I will be developing a blog about this franchise next week. It might make a few sales here and there over a period of one month and then I just spend half of the money on SEO.

    Plan looks solid :)

Do it dude, I have a good feeling about this one. Entertainment niche stuff always performs the best for me. Also check out ads for huluplus, a friend of mine that owns a TV show site does real well from them. They offer free trials so conversions are great, it is more TV focused rather than Movies but hey close enough.

I also found a CPA offer for PA4 movie tickets, check that out before its too late! Otherwise this can def. kill it with the amazon DVD/bluray sales. Maybe even some ebay affiliate for movie swag like posters? The sky is the limit !!

    Best of luck!!!

I'd hold on to that domain, potentially develop a blog, website or forum based around the genre (horror movies).
You may get lucky and potentially contacted by the production company if they want to purchase it although they could also push some sort of copyright complaint.

My expertise are in domains and websites like this, to be honest you have missed the boat with the domain. Best you can hope for is a few sales on amazon, netflix etc.

If you had the domain in the summer, maybe May time you could have offloaded it for a pretty penny or do what I do... create a site dedicated to the trailer and watch the money roll in. I have a PA4 site which during the last month has made hundreds of £s with no real work except a few updates and a simple SEO plan.

Now that the movie is out, it make near to nothing as everyone has lost interest in the movie...
