Palin Billed State for Nights Spent at Home
    Taxpayers Also Funded Family's Travel
Governor and GOP vice presidential nominee has also billed Alaska taxpayers for travel expenses for her children, according to documents.

ANCHORAGE, Sept. 8 -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a "per diem" allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business .................. The popular governor collected the per diem allowance from April 22, four days after the birth of her fifth child, until June 3, when she flew to Juneau for two days. She wrote some form of "Lodging -- own residence" or "Lodging -- Wasilla residence" more than 30 times at the same time she took a per diem, according to the reports. In two dozen undated amendments to the reports, the governor deleted the reference to staying in her home but still charged the per diem. ................ In separate filings, the state was billed about $25,000 for Palin's daughters' expenses and $19,000 for her husband's.

Flights topped the list for the most expensive items, and the daughter whose bill was the highest was Piper, 7, whose flights cost nearly $11,000, while Willow, 14, claimed about $6,000 and Bristol, 17, accounted for about $3,400.
................... Asked Monday about the official policy on charging for children's travel expenses, Garnero said: "We cover the expenses of anyone who's conducting state business. I can't imagine kids could be doing that." .................

I was right all along again and again about Palin. (She doesn't have high enough moral standards to be V.P.)
May be she didn't take/steal as much as the governer before her did, But the attitude she has for taking (or stealing may be is the right word) money as much as she can from the state is not the one the Americans want to see the V.P. has.

    "reform" ... "maverick" ...

    BS.

It's becoming more clear by the day that Sarah Palin is George W. Bush in a skirt. She has the same lack of intellectual curiosity. The same lack of ethics. The same "message from God" mentality.

Speaking of ethics and character, I'm always amazed at the lack of it when attempting to smear Governor Palin. I do expect it from the rabid left and those who historically have attacked America on every front.

    For example:

One might consider posting more complete facts from a story that otherwise shows a more complete detailing of said facts, instead of taking a few quotes out of context without the important pieces that would otherwise explain such dishonest accusations.

What don't we discuss that Obama was the top three recipient of donations from Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae rather than legal expenses.

Hillary Clinton's campaign is calling for the media to back of Sarah Pallin.

Well don't just make little sissy accusations. That's a coward's stance.

That way you can always make the accusation and you will alway be able to say; "I never said she did anything wrong, I was just wondering..."

Don't be a sissy. Go find out and report back. Then you can give us something that sticks instead of something that stinks.

    George Bush Quotes

"This is a very unusual period in American history, obviously. We've never been attacked like this before. We're still being attacked. Our heart goes out to anybody who suffers in America. And so, we're bolstering our homeland defense. We're disrupting and denying anybody who wants to harm the American people. We spend hours tracking down every possible lead of somebody who would come into this country or who might be burrowed in this country, trying to hurt any American."

    George Bush Quotes

"The guy over there at Pease - a woman actually - she said something about a country-western song about the train, a light at the end of the tunnel... I only hope it's not a train coming the other way. Well, I said to her, well, I'm a country music fan. I love it, always have. Doesn't fit the mold of some of the columnists, I might add, but nevertheless - of what they think I ought to fit in, but I love it. You should have been with me at the c.m.a. awards at Nashville. But nevertheless, I said to them there's another one that the Nitty Ditty Nitty Gritty Great Bird - and it says if you want to see a rainbow you've got to stand a little rain. We've had a little rain. New Hampshire has had too much rain."
    - President Bush
    Quotes by George Bush

"Somebody - somebody asked me, what's it take to win? I said to them, I can't remember, what does it take to win the Super Bowl? Or maybe Steinbrenner, my friend George, will tell us what it takes for the Yanks to win - one run. But I went over to the Strawberry Festival this morning, and ate a piece of shortcake over there - able to enjoy it right away, and once I completed it, it didn't have to be approved by Congress - I just went ahead and ate it - and that leads me into what I want to talk to you about today...."
