Helped secure the world against a tyrannical stalinist regime that killed millions of its own and threatened the world at large?

Im bringing it up browntown because it deals with the very important issue of trust. We didnt know about any of these covert operations till much later. How do we know what has been done behind our backs now.
The holocaust happened more then 50 years ago. Are you saying we should just forget 6 million jews being burnt in ovens because its happened 50+ years ago???????? Do you see how your argument looks now. Its almost like your saying one thing and doing another when it suites your purpose or bias. A misdeed is a misdeed no matter who it was done against, and for you to say it has no bearing on iran today your 100% wrong. Do you truely believe that even the iranian student movement which is against their government can trust our government in the same way ever again, especially since we never appologized for destroying democracy in their country. Id imagine if this happened here in America and it was the iranian government doing it to us and that same kind of government was still in power today would you trust them.

Its one thing to look at it from the outside and dismiss it as a historical thing that has no bearing on us now, but if you really want to try to understand the average iranian citizen that wants freedom and democracy you need to try to empathize with them.

If we want to be the worlds police force we need to be morally impeccable.
Can you honestly say from all of our foreign covert operations that have destroyed democracy instead of nurtering it that we are?

I wont even answer logixflux's propaganda post as everyone on this earth knows its a an untruth. Mossadegh was not a communist and mossadegh himself even said it. He kicked out the communists as well as us. He was a nationalist that was well on his way to becoming a democratic leader, who was taken out illegally by us. We then installed the true tyrant the shah in iran where he brutally supressed the people through his secret police force funded , trained and armed by us.
Logix u really need to read a bit more about whats actually going on out there instead of listening to hannity lol.

Actually, I do not think the holocaust plays a big role in our foreign policy toward Germany. I certainly don't use it as the formation of my policy decisions. It is certainly not the cause of any fighting we do today.

I did not tell you to forget these things, I just said they have little relevance in what is happening in today's world.

Browntown, I bet you would use it if elements of the nazi party that did this to the world were still active in German politics right? Get it 1953? No appology from us yet, which means we were never sorry for it. Could this be construed that the same type of elements are still playing foreign policy with the politics as usual brand?
What I just said proves that they still have relevance to whats happening in the world today.:)
