........... Obama warned Wednesday that if he is elected president, he would order US forces to hit extremist targets on Pakistan's frontier with Afghanistan if embattled military ruler President Pervez Musharraf failed to act. "Such statements are being made out of sheer ignorance," Pakistan's Minister of State for Information, Tariq Azeem, told AFP. "They are not fully apprised about the ground realities and not aware of the efforts by Pakistan."............ We have said before that we will not allow anyone to infringe our sovereignty," Azeem said.

"If there is any actionable intelligence they should tell us and only our forces will take action on it and they are quite capable of it."

I think its stunt time for all the hopefuls. This one by Obama, and one by Tancredo just to bolster their support. Expect more stray fires in the coming days.

I wasn't expecting Obama to say something like this which was more suited to a republican like Bush.

No State can attack any other country at all. But, they can do what so ever needed to bound Pakistan to arrest Laden and his forces.

I have to agree with President Pervez Musharraf on this one. The remark was uncalled for and Pakistan has more than cooperated in the fight against terrorism. Especially when a considerable amount of it breeds in his very country.

I do wish he would consider joint efforts in going after bin laden. Looney leftists often (apparently without any forethought) utter words to the effect "why haven't "we" (as if they are part of something grander than themselves) caught bin laden yet?"

Well, duh! Pakistan forbids us to go into their territory to do so. Somehow "illegal invasion" seems to only apply to Iraq

Obama's an idiot, pure and simple. Comments like these show the true depth of his lack of qualification to hold the highest office in the land.

Thats a smooth move, already planning and boasting about your military campaigns even before you are elected president. How untactful.
