Pakistani police backed by armored vehicles detained opposition leader Benazir Bhutto at her Islamabad residence Friday and reportedly rounded up 5,000 of her supporters to block a planned mass protest against emergency rule, officials said. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21683231/ Authorities were adamant the rally Bhutto planned in nearby Rawalpindi would not go ahead — under the government’s emergency powers President Gen. Pervez Musharraf declared last weekend, mass gatherings are banned. Mayor Javed Akhlas also said there was a “credible report†of six or seven suicide bombers in the city. Chaos what will happen next ?
Big big problems. A very large populous nation with nuclear weapons is in the midst of chaos. Taliban and fundamentalist al-queda terrorists have carved out a part of the land where they are currently immune from attack. The existing military govt is cracking down on the moderate class that is modern, moderate, and a strong deterrant to extreme Islamic terrorists groups. This is a seriously dangerous situation.
Ohh boy! Isn't this Musharaf character the same ally that Bush touted as a friend in the "war against terror"?
Bhutto has now been released from House arrest order http://edition.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapcf/11/09/bhutto.housearrest/index.html What a mess changes by the hour
That is very very true. But the dumbass sheeple will still think that a country years and years away from having the capability to make nuclear (or is that Nookular) weapons is more dangerous because FOCKS News told them so.
I wish they get rid of that wh*re that Benazir is. She doesn't deserve the royal treatment she is getting.
