If you can't participate in a discussion rationally then you should not participate at all.

The Pakistan foreign minister is indeed a very rude and arrogant person from the way I've seen him speak on teevision. Wonder whether a country that depends on foreign aid for survival should have such person at the helm of affairs.

Look at the expressions he gives even when he's talking to the press (note the fake wannabe Brit accent as well)

I understand some people are arrogant when they have achieved success in life. But in this case, I truly cannot find a basis

In pakistan army has the final authority not the politicians, consider him an actor who is playing his part according to the script. I think that pakistan army decided to close the supply lines to avoid the pressure from western countries on the extra judicial killings of suspected Taliban, after that video surfaced on the internet.

Alternate routes or attacking pakistan is not possible at this stage, as it would cost a lot, so i think they would struck a deal with in a few days and every thing would get to normal.

Has anyone noticed that there has been a sudden spurt in attacks on NATO convoys right after Pakistan got angry that its army personnel got killed in a NATO strike? Does it ring a bell?

This is the latest that's come in only a few minutes back - Nato supply lorry in Pakistan hit by blast

@polite That's what makes the decision so cretinous . The idiot didn't just cut the only viable NATO supply line . He cut off Afghanistan from the only sea supply route. Attacking Pakistan might not be a wise choice but i a few weeks the command will have to take a decision : flee or fight .

If our economy would be recovering faster a surgical strike against certain extremist groups in Pakistan might help the Pakistani people trow out the military/religious dictatorship that has grip their land .

@sar420 We suspect that those strikes are carried out by extremist that are inside the Pakistan army or secret service . The scale of the attacks exceeds what the al Queda or the talibans are capable of .

Why wonder when you know all too well that it takes just an empty head and islamic allegiance to do anything you like.

I have a feeling its not just a case of extremists in the Paki army and intelligence, its rather people right at the top who're making such decisions and conveniently blaming the Taliban.

This is eerily similar to what the Pakistani army did in 1999 when its soldiers occupied Indian peaks in Kargil and started a mini-war but denied that its army was involved - saying all along that they were Mujaheddin.

They're so damn smart they always get away with it.

If Pakistan gets any more troublesome, there may be some more "accidental" airstrikes.

And by a regrettable mistake a tomahawk missile might crash into their nuke launch control facility halting any possible launches .
