G'day to all directory owners. I was after a directory name for the last couple of days and been successful on getting the name. Currently I own and work on 4 directories but it means money when it comes to improve. So I decided to sell 2 of them and focus on this one which is paiddirectory.com I need advice and tips from experienced directory owners . As its name this will be a Paid Directory. if its paiddirectory.com its a very nice domain, If your going to start fresh and have it paid/premium I would recommend spend a lot of money on the high PR text links and advertising, on sites like www.bigweblinks.com to get the traffic in, because if submitters especially webmasters dont see good stats for you site, then no submissions.

Yes, it will be a Paid Directory. Malcolm I didn't own it until yesterday, actually I backordered it and was waiting to succeed. The site is not up, I bought a multisite hosting from Site5, but I do not know what is wrong with those guys they haven't avtivated it yet, I can not even see the site admin when I log on. I sent 2 emails ..No answer. I think I will buy another one from hostgator and cancel this one. Thanks for that anon , actually last week I asked for the deep mode and received your PM but I was waiting for this domain, as soon as load it I will get back to you. Any suggestions to make it a good Paid one? And Would you make a guess for the budget on how much to spend on it monthly? I mean what should be the bottom expense and top expense for a directory to improve? Thanks
Sasa is this your directory? Is it like an auction to be listed on the homepage? Is it your mod? Looks interesting. But it shows PR0 , how can you get that much submission with that much payments with PR0?
I got paiddirectory.net , as well. What would you recommend? Make 2 different directories or point to one of them? Anyone can give an advise?
no that website just got a PR 7 on this update.. its owned by Chris of Alive Directory and its a bid for link directory ... the higher you bid ... the higher your rank is and the higher your rank .. the more traffic.. its an awesome domain you got
and Chris promotes his sites heavily and i can assure you that Chris have spent a lot more on Big Web Links then he earned from it Saad
When buying high PR links you have to be careful..we believe that google is watching that paid links..so be careful - dont buy sitewides, buy links from content - to look natural.
That's a lot. I can manage only 2000 for now. So what of kind of content can I look for for a directory?
