Paid to search - would you use it?

Ok,

Im thinking of launching a site which pays users when they search.

1. Would you use it?
2. What other things would you look for in the search engine?

No because any site that pays people to search will never pay. The search engine will not pay them so they will not pay members.

 

Ok but heres my idea.

Everytime you search you get a SearchPoint or something.

then from the profits I get, I calculate an exchange rate and allow users to cash out via paypal or let them use their searchpoints to buy merchandise off us.

Also I would actually pay out,But I dont know if I should launch the site or not.

If enough people are interested in it Im doing it,Right now Im making a prototype site,But I mightened launch it if nobodys interested.

 

How many people are u serioulsy willng to pay out. You would get immense amounts of people searching 24x7 on your site just so they can make money. Hackers will make software that allows them to actaully use that site to search non stop. You cant make this site and succeed my friend. But thats what I think. Maybe me and you should team up and make a forum about something we're both good at and then make money off of that for ourselves. PM me if you think your interested.

 

yeah ill have to limit to allow 10 searches that pay a day per person.
itll be higher than 10 tho,And anyone cheating will be banned.

AND,If here was cheating on my search engine,It would bring down the exchange rate for SearchPoints to Euro.

 

how do you determine cheaters? say some one created ten accounts and did 10 searches per account per day?

 

It will result as SPAM!
Spammers will throw this idea to garbage

I would not use it results from free SE are normally good, I would be supprised if you could design a better system, using a human editor based system to provide results is open to abuse.

I have paid people in the past to find things for me on-line - but these were more research jobs that would have used up too much of my time.

 

Is it only searching or then the user has to click on the search results and visit the site indexed?

 

I wouldn't use it I think that the results wouldn't be good especially for Lithuanian keywords which I mostly search on the net

if they really pay i wouldn't mind giving it a try. btw i haven't seen any paid to search sites that have really worked.
