    If you shell text links is that okay with AdSense ?
    Or can cost you penalty ?

    i think selling text links or banner cuts SERP and page rank as well.
    it is my experience.

    I think you do get penalized even Amazon do not allow paid links to get paid in some of their programs. So I guess with adsense, it does too.
