Paid Text Links Questions - Please Advice

We all know Google frowns on buying text links on other sites/blogs but i need some clarification on something that confuses me a bit.

On this forum we have the "Link Sales" section where people can sell links from their blogs/sites

My question is...for guys that own a network of blogs(usually in 100s), when you pay them to have your article posted on their blog network with deep links back to your site, is this considered as paid text links

paying for posts and paying for direct links is the same thing.

in case of posts, you are surrounding the links with text to make it look like natural links. :D. that's the only difference. an algorithm to detect paid posts is not possible.

a paid post can do better than a normal paid link. however if you have the same posts on 100s of blogs, I really don't think there is much incremental benefit.

Yes. Those are considered paid links.
Also, most of those paid blogs has pagerank from expired domains.
So most of them are not of any use to the buyers.

Remove anything stating your selling text links so you don't lose your outbound link power.

yes, thats pretty much considered a paid link..although it's not really bad..I would rather have a paid post on a blog than a reciprocal link trade..LOL

Forget the paid links - if you're paying to be involved with link farms you have far more serious problems.

There are a lot of dodgy things or just plain downright stupid things that DP members do or recommend. Don't assume that because you saw it recommended here it's okay.

A lot of people have had good success with paid reviews/paid blog posts. These are more natural than a list of paid links in the navigation.

That's correct. Don't trust anyone, including me, just because they post something on a forum like this. Do your own research. Make an informed decision on your own.

One thing's for certain: I have seen more bullshit posted and repeated ad infinitum on webmaster forums than you can ever imagine.

If you get some "wisdom" from a forum, distrust it implicitly. There's at least a 50-50 chance it's a myth, dead wrong, having no basis whatsoever in reality.

If you are buying links (or posts) on here or anywhere else, at least 'dont buy from someone who advertises the URLs he or she is selling links on in the public areas. These for sure will be added to Googles blacklist eventually.

yahoo is also paid links but google would like to consider yahoo links. i guess more important thing is which site you bought.i guess no worries about paid posts but if you sure about no drop domain.
