I've added paid subscription on my forum.
But users said that they are unable to purchase subscription.

I can receive manually paqyments to my paypal but pruchase subscription isn't working.

user can click on paid subscription , redirects to paypal login page...but unable to pay..

i created topic on vbulltin support forum, according to them everything is alright in vb.

I'm using personal verified paypal account..not premium/business account..
is it due to that? do i need to upgrade paypal to premium/business?

    any suggestion/solution?

Did you create the subscription button from within your PayPal account? Im not sure if that is available to personal memberships, but I think it isnt. The reason I say that is that the subscription is part of the merchant services.

You need to have a Premier or Business account to enable Subscription Paypal.

You are not supposed to do any business or any sales through a Personal Account as the personal account as the name suggest is for personal use, ie buy things off through paypal.

It is free to upgrade to a business account, but once you do that PayPal will start charging you fees for every payment you receive.

Then you need to contact PayPal to confirm that what we have told you is true. Personal accounts cannot use merchant features such as subscriptions

What the Vbulletin Support knows about Paypal compared to what paypal knows about paypal. Subscription is a way of making money and that falls under the category of merchant services as stated by the FAQ which I quoted.

The Vbulletin Support may take a regular Paypal account as being a premier account.
