Hello. Just seen a similar post regarding this but it seemed to be for Wordpress. I'm look for a system for Joomla. Any recommendations? It so that when people do the paid registration they can access the registered features. Thanx. Lhlalyam
Hey Thanks Mikebrad0927, I did a search on joomla's forum and only found information in regards to Juser. That is one option also. But thanks so much for this infor. Have you worked with any of these? Lhlalyam
Here are the options for your membership site on Joomla. 1. AEC - Access Control - https://globalnerd.org/ 2. Juser - Joomla Subscription -http://joomlaequipment.com/content/view/48/79/ We use Juser currently on our site. Good Luck. Olu
Hello. Thanks for the feed back. Trichnosis: I use community builder, but haven't run across paid membership items. maybe there have been new updates. I will check. Themesclub & Jaques: I'll look into AEC more. Looks interesting. I've done some reading on Juser... so far AEC sounds more interesting. Have any of you used AEC? Lhlalyam
We use AEC for about a year and we subscribe to the membership to get the latest update however we opted for Juser because of it flexibility out of the box even thou it cost a little. Both seem to do the job needed but we prefer the Juser. I hope that helps. Olu
Hello. ThemesClub: so with Juser it is flexible enough to customize durations (e.g. 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year...) of memberships? Does it also notify you or stop the membership when the duration of the membership has completed? With AEC... have you used the latest release code named 'Eagle Nebula'? Thanks for the info so far! Lhlalyam PS: ThemesClub - added rep for the information you've been sharing
AEC is good but it has a lot of things and difficult for someone who is looking for something simple. Plus, it is no more free. It is commercial now. So, if you are looking for a commercial component for a Joomla paid membership site, why not have a look at SimSu. It is very simple to use.
