Paid Forum Posters for Promotion

Well it looks like people are laying down their bucks and paying people to basically SPAM other forums to promote their forums.

These posters are an easy catch, they come in, they are right on topic, they have 2 to 4 sig links right off the bat, they write good copy and they embed perfectly targeted anchors and links into the posts.

They are not even trying to look normal. They do this from the first post.

Anywho, I've had to deal with a few already. They are so obvious, it's silly.

If you are paying for this service, your paid posts are likely in the trash bin at the sites your posters SPAMMED!

So, you finally mean to say that we should not pay the posters to our new forums?
If yes then how to get members to post in our new forums?
    when it looks too empty

You misunderstood. Not posters at your forum for content. Posters that go to other forums and promote (pronounced spam) a website or forum.

Takes a little time but create your own posts and own users. Many people create several accounts on there own forum and pose as other people in order to make the forum look active. I have tossed this idea around but never actually done it.

The Sea in England is Blue

Just thought I'd post an off topic converstion like everyone else:p

Back to the original post, can you change all their links to no follow or delete them, then you get the advantage of a free post.

    The sea is England's glory!
    The bounding waves her throne;
    For ages bright in story,
    The ocean is her own.
In war the first, the fearless
    Her standard leads the brave,
In peace she reigns so peerless,
    The Empress of the wave!

Back on topic, can you find out where they are coming from? Same IP's?

I'd recommend requiring new users to have 10+ or even 20 posts before they are allowed to put up a signature... When paid signature posting is done properly it's actually benefical to both parties... If proper on topic posts are made and the sig doesn't appear for the first post... and the user doesn't leave after 5-10 posts then it's not so bad... :)
