What is the Standard Operating Procedure if you buy a website, ask for a modification, pay for the modification, and work is not done 3 weeks later?I have asked for my money back,if they could not do they job,and was told it would be done.I bought the site off this forum, and i really want to work with the people, but they seem to avoid my IM,PM and emails..Any suggestions?I will keep the name under wraps for a few more days, then i will unleash an array of emails and pms i have saved,so others will know. Thanks

I think 1/2 down,1/2 on completion is better way to go. There is somewhat of a carrot on a stick.

Hope they come through with the work.

What does your written contract say?

Are you teasing him? If he had a written contract he wouldn't have posted here...

LOL. No, I was serious. I thought he might say something like "work was agreed to be completed in X days or by X date from this or that."

Well, what was said was"ill get on it ASAP"Then,7 days later or so,i asked, and said it would be the next day..then 5 days later,it was the next day, then 4 days later,it was 100% assured,it would be done..Thats the problem..No,no written contract.

Sounds like the people you are working with have poor time management and over promise on delivery. I don't think their action is necessarily fraudulent at this point. If the work was started with no definite time line then it is hard to nail them down on a time frame.
