paid for special links?

    I have just run into a site offering payment for link shrinking
    Im wondering how this could affect my backlinks.

    Anyone seem these before?

    no. i dont pay for links i get paid to use this kind of link. or rather convert my links to their format, just curious how it will affect backlinking

    Link shrinking might be seen as link cloaking by SE - not something I'd recommend .

    well your link is converted from "really-long-url-name-for-no-real-reason-except-i-need-an-example.com" to something like "lnk.ly/123" as a result i believe visiting the url makes the user take redirect route via the link shrinker site. i could be wrong.
