Paid for domain - But no transfer

    Hello,

I paid for a domain with a (small) hosting company. In february I paid for the domain and hosting. Whenever I had problems, I contacted support and I always received a fast reply.

Now it's been weeks that I've been trying to contact them, but nobody replies. It seems like everyone disappeared.

I want the domain transferred to my account, so I can have full control over it.
The WHOIS info on my domain has still the personal data of the owner of the hosting company.

Can I prove that the domain is mine with:
-adsense screenshots, showing me I got paid for my site(domain)
-a paypal receipt, with a $ figure, matching the cost of 1 month hosting+1year domain
-messages of me and the support department, talking about my server & domain

I'll try to contact the DNS company my hosting company used to register my domain, and see if they would transfer the domain to my account.

    Do I stand a chance?

I would say it will be a be a tough battle for you. The domain is in someone else's name - which is gonna be really hard for you to overcome.

Try going to your registrar and initiating the transfer yourself..

Ie. I use 1&1 and if I go to add a domain and it already exists, you have the option of saying 'I own this domain with another registrar, please transfer it to 1&1'

That might wake them up to respond to the transfer request..
