I'm looking for paid directories that pass PR.

http://www.site-sift.com is a great example of what i'm looking for. Catagories should have a PR3 or higher.

That is a true statement. Some directories have high internal pr and paying a one time fee can be a great benefit. Sites that sell text advertisement usually charge a monthly fee rather than a one time fee.

The real advantage of directories for SEs is the listing being placed in a relevant category.

I think Mike has a good suggestion. Find related sites with the PR you want and approach them for a paid link on the page you want. What's the theme of your links? I'm sure someone here will have something relevant and can send you offers. My dir has PR 3 on many subcats and I could offer you something there. But don't limit yourself to directories.

Ever heard or a credit card reveral? Yahoo isn't God. If you get shafted like that it's a real simple solution to yank back the cash.
