With the amount of daily traffic, the rotated 120x60 banner ads
on top of proxy browser bar are actually very good revenue source,
but I've been using this spot to advertise my sites.

Site is based on phpproxy, and has unique design/logo.

There is no admin or control panel.
The articles are added via phpmyadmin to attract search engine traffic,
and are optimized for adsense.
The site is ranked at #30 at MSN for "anonymous surfing"

This site consumes too much resource on my shared hosting,
so I decided to sell it.

I didn't realize that you could sell an article site for so much. Learn something new everyday.

 

I don't think that it is specifically against the TOS, but it is a bad idea as you cannot control the content of the proxyed site, which may make Google mad if you display ads for a site that breaks their TOS in your proxy service (and chances are lots of people are using a proxy to look at sites that would break the TOS...).
