Just wanted to test the waters...

Does anyone have an opinion on having links on a page that point back to the page? It is part of navigation. Is this a good practice or bad?

    Example:

    - Page is about Italy.
    - On the right hand side is a navigation bar which containt links to other articles about Italy. Also in the list of links is a link to the existing page. It has the same anchor text as the title of the page. It also turns out to be the same text which is used in <h1> tags as the header of the articles.

Is this a good practice? Or is it over doing it?

    Thanks.

Nav trails normally come coded like that. Nothing wrong with. It would be overdoing it IMO to go out of your way to change the code and make sure it disappears.

    Leave it, it's fine.

And fro a visualization point of view it aids in the user experience when the visitor can see at a glance how the other pages relate to this one.
