Anyone have any experience with pages that have a link to an external article or tutorial, and also adsense ads? I realize hosting articles directly with the ads would be the best, but I'm wondering how well/poorly ads perform on that sort of page that is already linking the readers somewhere else. Hope i'm not being too vague

Ok let me try again, Some pages have just content, like an article. Some pages do something like Digg.com for example, that have a link (to external site) then a description and the comments or whatever. My question is how effective are ads on the second type of page.
If I understand you properly, you will probably need a short paragraph of descriptive text for each link (two or three sentences) in order for AdSense to effectively contextualize the page. Hope this helps!
