So yeah, I messed it up I'm making this site with wordpress and I have already some pages indexed. I changed content of some of those pages and changed permalinks too. I now find those pages in google with the old permalink, clicking on them I find the page with the new/actual content. Are SEs going to update those entries automatically at one point ? What are now issues linked to such situation ?
Wait for few day until SE index next time, it will be removed otherwise you can request google.. for detail visit google webmaster central.
Wordpress already have 301 redirects for old to structure to the new one, this is not the case of duplicate content. You will be fine very soon.
Perfect ! Thanks guys. I actually have to get more into webmaster central in order to get knowledge of it and use it.
don't worry about that much. sooner or later google re-crawl your site, it will automatically remove the old urls that no longer exist from their index and start crawling the new urls that have updated content. But how soon that would be done of course depends on how "deep" google would cache your site on each visit and, that's would depends on your pr somewhat.
Yup it will be perfectly fine. It takes awhile to update all your links if you have a really huge site like a forum or something but a blog should update relatively quickly.
