Lets, say I have 3 businesses that are named the exact same name, but 3 different locations in the same city (or a different city). Lets say my business is clothing stores, and for an example, Lets, call the name of my store, Test Clothing Store. So I had to create a personal page 1st, then I created my first business page that says Test Clothing Store, Facebook placed a 1 next to it ( I am assuming that 1 means page number1). I made Test Clothing Store my original business without an address because I have read that you want your 1st store to be your company store if the stores are named the same. So now here is where I get confused. When I create another page named Test Clothing Store, Facebook will not let me, because it says that I already have a store named Test Clothing Store, so do I call it Test Clothing Store 1 or do I Call it Test Clothing Store 5 Main St. and then name my next page either Test Clothing Store 2 or Test Clothing Store 10 Preston St, and then the 3rd store the same example. I understand that I can have a username that says Test Clothing Store (5 Main St), or Test Clothing Store (10 Preston St) At first, I was going to just create 3 different Facebook accounts, using my Facebook Account for one Store, and wife's Facebook account for the 2nd store and my general Managers Facebook account for the 3rd store, because we will be able to name the store the same name, but with a different username. But I figure it will be easier to manage it under 1 account, if I can do it that way. We also want to be able to advertise differently from store number 1 and 2 and 3, because sometimes our stores will have different sales and merchandise from each other. Eventually, I want Facebook to allow me access to REQUEST LOCATIONS ACCESS. Supposedly that is the best way to go, because it will alert customers when they are in the area of my store if I am correct. I am trying to maximize my customer base. I have looked everywhere on the internet for the following information. Could someone please help me? Here is an example) all under business Retail with a personal account 1st. John Doe ( Personal Facebook Account) Page 1Test Clothing Store(Corporate) User name:Test Clothing Store (no address on facebook Page 2 Test Clothing Store 1 Username: Test Clothing Store (Chicago 5 Main St) Page 3 Test Clothing Store 2 Username: Test Clothing Store (10 Preston St) Page 4 Test Clothing Store 3 Username: Test Clothing Store (3 Prairie St) or Page 1Test Clothing Store(Corporate) User name:Test Clothing Store (no address on facebook Page 2 Test Clothing Store 5 Main St Username: Test Clothing Store (Chicago 5 Main St) Page 3 Test Clothing Store 10 Preston St Username: Test Clothing Store (10 Preston St) Page 4 Test Clothing Store 3 Prarie St. Username: Test Clothing Store (3 Prairie St)
You are missing some of the fundamentals of facebook. People have accounts businesses have pages Pages have admins who are people Admins change over time - staff leave, businesses get sold So, you're not going to create any new accounts. You will create a page per store and you and your wife will be the admins (always have 2 or more admins)
Ok, so I will have a page per store, but why can't I name the pages the same as Test Clothing Store. Do you have any suggestions as to what to name them as my example. Also, do I have a main company page then then 3 store pages will go after that. Also what do I name them if I cannot use the real name of my stores. How will my customers locate them?
I don't know about the locations access stuff but I do have concerns that you'll struggle to find content for each store and I reckon you'd do better to have a page for the chain.
Could you please elaborate what you mean by I will struggle for content for each store. What kind of content are you talking about? I plan to have a page for the chain, matter of fact I already have the main page. I need to learn how to add the 3 stores and learn how to advertise on them.
Bearing in mind that I don't know you, or your stores, you will need to be posting a few times a week for each store and getting sufficient likes and comments for your content to pass the algorithm test and be shown in people's feeds. Lets say you have new stock in. You'll need a selection of photos of the new stock (official images? staff delightedly opening boxes? new window display?) and a description. You'll need a different description for each store. And 2 days later you'll need more...
