Pages are not indexed by google.

I use alot of articles (from articlecity, etc) as content, so in order not to get penalized by search engines for duplicate content, I use the noindex metatag on pages with the articles.

Will my adsense ads on the pages be affected because they are not indexed? Will the right ads show up?

And does anyone know what happened to wickedfire?

I'm actually really new to the IM game. I appreciate all your help.

I just confused how adsense ad will follow your content? why not edit article adding your own content and post it instead of using -noindex metatag on pages with the articles?

If I understand correctly, duplicate content will get your site penalized in terms of Page Rank, so I'll use the noindex metatag in this case.

Also, because I'm relatively lazy, I don't want to edit the articles and make them 'unique.' Still, I feel these articles are good for adsense revenue, so I'll use them.

However, because they won't get indexed, the right ads won't show up. How can I get around this?

Are there specific google bots? For example, one that indexes your site, and another one that reads your site so it will put the correct adsense ads up? This way I can allow the adsense bot and block the indexing bot with a robots text file.

    Anyone?
