    Hello,
I have vBSEO and vBSEO Sitemap Generator installed.
But, the pages are getting de-indexed very fast.
I had 85K indexed pages in November, 303 pages in December and then 27K pages in last week.
It's now only 7.5K pages indexed.

What's going on? what are the problems may be?

It's nothing to do with vBulletin or vBSEO really. Do people link to your site on their own, especially deep links to threads? If you aren't getting any natural links, Google isn't going to think your site if very relevant to much of anything.

    Thanks..
According to Google Webmaster Tools, I do have pretty good deeplinks to threads and single posts.
I never had any indexing issue before I attempt to made a server migration. The forum was down for 3 days in November and suddenly the indexed pages went down.

Since the I am having that problem.

Could be a server issue then... maybe they are blocking Googlebot or something. Does Google's Webmaster Tools show it as being successfully spidered?

or it could be due to googles new alorgithm too.. vbseo just makes ur site a little more seo friendly if u think thats causing the issue maybe you should uninstall it and see the results

All of the sitemaps are being downloaded properly. No spiders are being blocked. But, there are several Crawl Errors reported in GWT.. Below are the excerpt:

    HTTP ‎(0)‎ - In Sitemaps ‎(312)‎ - Not followed ‎(12)‎ - Not found ‎(423)‎ - Restricted by robots.txt ‎(0)‎ - Timed out ‎(0)‎ - Unreachable ‎(479)

    Any suggestions from them?

May be, But, how they are causing the issue? I mean, it's a established forum and running on vb and vbseo since last 3 years without any problem.. :(

Anything interesting in the "Unreachable" section?

Nothing special.. Just a bunch of showpost links which I have excluded from sitemap.
Don't know how they are listed at "Unreachable".

Do you have an example of a URL you think should be indexed that isn't?

All the main and custom pages are indexed..
There must be some show thread URLs which are not indexed. I'll dig into it and will let you know.

BTW, Google Webmaster Tools shows 66K indexed page at the Sitemap Stats, but when it's site:domain operator, only 7.5K links. Why is that? Is there a chance of a penalty or they are indexed as supplemental results?

I think we are seeing a new Google algorithm that's being implemented with severe changes to their result pages.

And my personal opinion is that VBSeo is crap. Google isn't fooled by it's neat urls into giving you a better ranking. It's content and links that are the main part of it's algo.

Yeah, it may be that. But keyword rich URLs also play their part in SEO.

Either way, use friendly urls , at the very least it will make it easier for people to find your site as Google bolds keywords searched for in URLs in its results.

I hope it is not Vbseo but Google has been deindexing my site for 7 months now from 90K to 2K today. I started seeing deindexing when I changed from Hostgator shared to VPS but in the last couple months the deindexing has been pretty fast. I have tried everything, backlinks, directories, SB, threads only sitemap, to no avail. I think I'm going to remove Vbseo to see if this is a problem or include old urls now after a while being off. Have nothing to lose. Adsense has bottomed out. So help me God.
