I read that there was an update a week or so ago. But my PR has stayed at 0. I have hundreds of backlinks in Google Analytics, .edu backlinks, high PR backlinks, 100% unique content, great SERPs. Why is my PR still zero? http://www.checkpagerank.net/index.php?name=http://aussie-pythons.com
PR 0 means your site ranked at google, make more backlinks surely you will see the increase of PR. Try to do some link exchange with your niche related websites/blogs for faster results.
QUALITY backlinks is key. Try to get links from high PR sites that are in the same niche as your site.
Hi, Google update PR on the basis of Backlink..but you say your site backlinks around 100 in google analytic...check your backlinks count in google manually ....!
Really, did you even read my post? I know what PageRank is, if you'd read my post you wouldn't have replied with something so irrelevant. My backlinks are quality though, that's the problem. I have around 500 backlinks, most are PR2+, a few are PR7 and some are .edu - over 50% of them are related to my niche.
you can wait for google page rank for update, I think it has not been updated yet but I think your website has now ranking
When building new backlinks try and make sure to use as many different domains as possible. IE: 1000's of links from a few forums are no way as good as a few links from 1000 different domains. Google does take this into account, but backlinks are not the only thing that determine PR, another important factor is your websites click-outs, building website interaction is very important, do not point all of your links to sales pages ect, link to useful information made by others, wiki, yahoo answers and forum post are great for this. I hope this is useful.
I would just advise you to be more patient and keep working hard. You'll surely get good results. Don't lose hope. Sometimes, it may take a while to get your fruit. But in the end, hard work pays off.
To my information these update are taken early and the released on 21 of jan so that site which are launched freshly there is no PR update for them, some of my site are about 4 months old but no pr update, so dont stop to create new backlinks.
I was going to say the same thing. Must not have read the post. -- Googles update this time was not very accurate at all. I have a site that I built just after the previous update back in July of last year. The site is almost a year old and has 18,000 links from over 300 sites related to the content and the site has PR0. Nothing we can do though. After they went so long without an update I quit worrying about PR. It only matters for selling links or the site. I'm working more on my SERP's to get better Adsense earnings now.
Google update was not fully correct. As i can see data for PR is half year old. And also some of my sites that should be PR4/5 has rank of PR2, in same time some of sites that are very week (near PR1) get PR3/4 ranks... I think you should wait for next PR updates... I have many sites with similar situation, and many sites that get not existing PR...
Its really a bit strange if you have backlinks from .edu blogs and from other quality websites but only thing you can do is to create more backlinks and also analyze that your seo activity should not be considered as blackhat seo...as it may penalized by google...also you can think about your site content...
Truly said! I am also surprised from Google page rank algorithm, My website alexa rank is under 4 lakh but my pr is also 0.
Back link's quality is the important factor. The pages, from which back links are coming, is related to your site, PR of that pages, etc are the main factors that Google considers. So, you need to analyze your work and do some quality works, which produce good and quick result.
Means you are not make any back links, right. PR is not dead, you can build quality back links through link exchange.
