    The PR value is a pretty rough measure of your page's rank. Even if two pages show the same rank there might be quite a difference in their real rank, e.g. one page might be 3.4 and the other 3.0 but since Google only shows a whole number they both show 3. If your home page dropped it might still have a high enough PR to maintain the PR values for your inner pages.
