    It is not an exact number. It depends on the PR of the pages linking to your website. Get a bunch of links from PR3+ pages and you should be PR1+ by the next PR update.

    Just come back to this forum or any other forum, you will see countless threads with people talking about how their PR changes.

    The PR updating schedule is a bit of a mystery. In the past updates were done more at a fairly consistent interval. The last PR update did not follow the same trend though. There should be an update by Feb/March, but it could happen even sooner.

    A PR update only updates what the Google toolbar displays. Your rankings aren't going to improve exactly when your toolbar PR increases.

    Well in my opinion PR1 is beyond easy. It's PR4+ that takes some real work.

    Last time when i see pr of my site,it's 4,and now,pr update,and i see it's 3,i don't know why this thing occur?
    Is it due to the external link decrease?And any other factors could affect it?

    To improve your pr you should focus on obtaining as many high quality links as
    possible and your pr will improve over time.

    According to the BL quality PR may warry, pr4 to 1 is not much diff. Better make quality BL and wait until next updation.

    Sometimes your pr will fluctuate and sometimes your pr will decrease if you lose
    some of your backlinks.

    i think some sites backlinks Google not catch some time. you check after a months you got some changes in your Google backlinks in Google webmaster tools.
