No, that is not accurate. PR changes on sites every day but that does not constitute an "Update" What you had was a correction which happens every day
Watching tens of websites, I noticed four days ago (maybe it happened earlier) that ONE of them had a PR update; it was PR4 and changed to PR3! I just checked the Future PR Tool and the PR3 has been stabilized on all datacenters. I think it's a very strange-limited PR "change". By analyzing that site I can speculate that it is not a PR update but a correction of some PR mistakes done during the last update around July 10th. Just my 2 cents
I had one get changed too. At the end of July it had a PR3 on the day of the update and then it lost it the next day, now it is back. So it looks like some sort of correction. Around Oct. 20th is next PR update I think?
Maybe these corrections are related to penalties or reinclusions google may be doing by hand. Recently I remember some members discussing that a pretty major directory was deindexed (sorry I cant remember the name, it wasn't major to me) and they were debating whether or not it was the result of an algorhythmic penalty or one applied manually. Something like that must affect dozens or hundreds of sites, and maybe they can run some kind of recalculation based on the change they made. That's a pretty romanticised view of Google, but hey they're not #1 for nothing!
In July PR of my one site is droped from 4 to 3 i was concered about it aswell so waiting for the next update might increase the PR or it will stays the same .. Google Knows better
yfs1, how can you be sure there wasnt an update maybe your pr just stayed the same... this next update is my first, and i was just wondering do all of you'll kind of know what kind of PR to excpect is there a tool you use to estimate this Another Q: If I have 3 PR7 and 4 PR6 links all from completelydifferent sites pointing to me, some recprocal some not what can i expect at the next update? PR5? and what if i have to links from each pointing at my page is that raise it to a little more or something? Just wondering... Thanks guys PS As you can see im really excited about the next update
Just one of the advantages of being in the DMOZ... Google picks it up, and has it ordered by PR, which updates ahead of the toolbar. http://www.google.com/Top/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Hosting/N/ vs. My site, see sig.
A real update is very wide and clearly visible. If only few websites' PR changes, it is probably some correction or export of PR, but not an update. Look at the history of updates: http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html We'll probably still have to wait a while for the next update...
www.coredownload.com is online for a few weeks...but its PR hasn't change at all. I guess i have to wait for the big update.
Do you realise all you guys are saying "no change for me" on a thread that was started almost 3 weeks ago?
You are kidding right? (Add the Lol or a smilie to take away the confusion) This thread was from last month and there was no PR update.
and.... I already stated that these guys are saying "no change for me" from a thread that was started 3 weeks ago lol
