    I don't think PR is such a big deal, is it? I know that in the grand schemes it is a part of the algorithms, however I have noticed several lower PR sites that are above the fold. So I don't really pay attention to PR all that much. I am more concerned with quality content and quality backlinks. Aren't you?

    There is someone EVERYDAY saying that PR is updating or asking when the next PR update is.

    Shawn, I think there should be a separate forum heading just for PR...at least then there might not be a new thread started everyday....but I doubt it!

    My main membership site members area recently dropped from PR2 to PR1 but as of yesterday it is back to PR2.

    Not sure what is going on. I don't think it was a full PR update, perhaps system maintenance.

    No change in my site, still mysteriously at zero from a four a couple months ago. I'm not concerned, though. As many good webmasters have stated, it's the traffic and $, not PR that really matters. :)

    I think PR is a big deal. Let's take what we know and say that the PR is not really a true reflection of a websites popularity, or presence. But there are a high proportion of people out there that judge websites based on their PR; whether these people are correct or no is beside the point - what matters is that they are using the PR to make a judgment and thusly any website owner must try to earn themselves a high rating for those people if they want to achieve a high visitor turnover.

    But this is just my opinion based on what I used to do before knowing The True Meaning of PR. :)
