I'm actually glad to see they made a couple of pagerank updates in a row. If they are going to provide the data, they should keep it updated, or else not provide it. Since it is named after Larry Page and he is taking over as CEO, I have a feeling it won't be going away soon.
I think that every change Google makes, no matter how small, has some impact to their AW revenue. The first PR update may have harmed rev a bit.
It is hard to imagine now that adwords in less important to google that search. Clearly search is "tainted" simply from the fact that so much of the above the fold content is revenue generating for google now. This is not the search engine that we have loved so much in the past. It is very much about money, and much less about showing the best organic results.
yes one of my site was Google page rank 2, now that 4, could any body please explain about alexa ranking, how they count ranking? and how they write my site linked with how many website? and when they update the linking part, 1 month ago my site was linked with 3 sites, but still now i see 3, but total ranking is reducing day by day. Thanks
It is interesting as my directories did not drop at all but other few websites did drop from PR2 to PR 0 . I can see some connection with directory submission . Looks like google doesnt like it very much .
I would expect this to be especially true if a majority of the sites submitted to your directory are the same as those on many other directories. For example, let's say someone hires someone to submit to 1000 directories. Now multiple that by hundreds of people. If a majority of your listings are of that type, chances are google places little value on the directory.
One of my sites gained PR (2>3) and after the July 19th update it went back down to 2, along with most of my inner pages losing a point. I read that Google admitted to manually pushing this update, as opposed to be a rolling updated based on their adjustments earlier this month. Maybe something to do with the fact that they devalued their own properties? Dunno.
Google seems to updating Page Rank in real time now On onee of my high PR blogs, I noticed my tag pages got PR , so I went and no-indexed them to keep the PR from bleeding, maybe week after that all tag pages lost their PR. I went back and undo th nonindex for them and guess what, PR is back right after. So TPR is updated more frequently now, more like Site and BL .
Me too, I had two different directories go from 0 to 4 with PR 2 inner pages. Both are new. Cool stuff.Â
well, I also had some good changes. And also some bad...but there were more good ones. And it pleases))
Google has always stated not to worry too much about PR but to keep on building quality content and backlinks, and the PR will come
