Suppose i have a site with PR3; IF other PR0 sites start linking to me will my pagerank drop?
The point is that i dont control who links to me :)

Impossible, another site can't hurt your pagerank, or all your competitors would do it.

First of all, PageRank scores can only be positive or non-existent. Because the Toolbar PageRank is displayed in whole numbers, when it shows 0 the true value is actually greater than 0 but less than 1. No incoming link can reduce the PageRank score of another page on its own. The only way an individual incoming link can hurt you is if you link back to the originating site in a way that invokes a penalty. Google and the other search engines try very hard to make it very difficult for one site to damage another site.

I have seen plenty of sites with PR0 pages linked to it and passes on some link juice as a result. So it is definitely more than 0 and less than 1 as rainborick mentioned.

People linking to you can never do you any harm...in fact it shows the popularity of your own website....
Hence you should be rather happy if several sites decide to link to yours...

Like others have said, people linking your site will not cause your PR to fall lower at all :)

Those other links will give benefit to your PR, unless if it is from bad neighbourhood.

A link would only give a negative impact if it is from a penalized site or included in a bad neighborhood.
