I heard that Google recently updated PageRanks after a long time of not having done so. I was excited because I'd been attempting to build my blog's traffic at http://www.thebeautybunny.com, but it doesn't seem to have helped. On some browsers I'm listed as no page rank available, while on others I'm a 0/10. Is this my final PageRank until Google does this again on Nebruary 32nd? I'm 1,200,000ish on Alexa and have done a lot of work Stumbling my posts, linking myself elsewhere and doing a little link exchange. Any advice?
screw page rank. just worry about your placement is search engines and building quality relevant links.
Your going to have to wait until next time which will probably be sometime in spring going into summer, maybe even longer. Just keep building links and you'll get up it takes time.
Yea, PR doesnt matter as much. Just relax. There are too many sites on the net for everyone to have a good PR, so just forget about it.
Just keep exchanging links with quality, related sites and you'll not only get more traffic, but your PR will go up as well!
My suggestion, UNINSTALL the google Toolbar. Just because your stupid google toolbar PR doesn't change doesn't mean your ranking in the SERPs won't change. Here is what you do, pick 10 keywrod phrases you want to rank for, use wordtracker or something to get some good keywords, drop links using those keywords to your site every day, your rank in the SERPS for those keywords will start to change, lets say you are on page 10, then page 8, then page 4, then page 2, then Page 1! And guess what your little google toolbar might still say PR 0 untill the next update.. so what.
I hope you are aware that PageRank is developed through the link juice. I just noticed that Google does not show any backlinks to thebeautybunny, but Yahoo says that you have "45 links". Even if you have certain links which could be recorded by Yahoo, considering Google stats, the link juice is not passed. This could be because the Link pages are not even crawled/indexed by Google. The links need to be developed on Google cached pages, or get cached to have some credit to pass on to you. BTW, I hope you are aware that the Google PR update happened in October.
Page ranking does matter. An advertiser will be ready to advertise in your site only if you have a good ranking. keep exchanging links..
