PageRank question - Linking

Hey guys and girls. Maybe someone can answer this for me.

I have a picture rating site and I am thinking of getting something put into the sidebar where you can simply click it, and it gives you a code to put into lets say Myspace profile, or website, or blog. Now, the code is a link back to there profile on my rating site.

Now, my question is, will my pagerank improve because lets say 100 people link me back to there blog or myspace, or will it just improve the pagerank of there profile on my page? Or will it make the sites page rank go up.

Like will it make www.myratingsite.com page ranks go up, or the profile on www.myratingsite.com go up? (thats not my site by the way, just an example)

Any time another web page links to your page, it will help improve your Page rank. With that said, you should avoid link exchange websites and web rings if at all possible, as those can hurt.

But your idea is sound. Its the same idea used for the GeoTracker tool from DP.

Try to get high pagerank link... or at least a lot of decent one. Then your site will improve.

So would it be better to make the linking code link back to just the main page, or the persons profile? Does it matter?

    Thanks for the great help!

If you have links with better page rank sites then it will really help you but same way if you have links with worst sites then it will make your page rank worst only.

Place your link on the quality high pr websites. Pay money tto Yahoo! for their directory placement and same with the dmoz.org and also unique content on your website too can help you in increasing the pr.

I think that more important than just high pr links is that a page with the same or similar keywords linking to yours website and than it's not necessary to linking from high pr websites... it's important too that link is more valuable when it is <h1> or <h2> it equals pr=pr+1; when you have a link marked with thees headers
