Is there anyway I can check the pagerank of all my backlinks?

I mean, something that will scan for backlinks and then display their pagerank?? possibly in order or something.

Domain-pop.com used to do it well then stopped!

    any ideas?

Yup, that's because not all of your back.links count with google. Backlinks that are not no-follow, duplicate backlinks, backlinks from places that google deems as not worthy of passing link juice, and backlinks from before the last time the domain expired are all examples of backlinks that google doesn't count. And there are a ton more reasons why they don't count a backlinks.

Not to mention google only updates backlinks every so often, usually about once per month, sometimes less.

Yes I would definitely look at the google backlinks, those are authoratative backlinks which are the important ones. You should try and create backlinks that Google sees!

I think the best way to jump start a link building campaign is to purchase a few text link ads on very specific, highly related, high quality sites with good PR, good google backlinks, and good traffic.

Once you get the ball rolling a little bit, and get a little boost in SERPs, you'll start to get a little bit of regular traffic, then it will be easier and easier to accumulate backlinks naturally.

When you say purchase, how much in terms of spending are we talking about?

Don't worry about your page rank so much, just concentarte on getting plenty of backlinks..anchored of course with the search term your going for.Pagerank is good when your creating backlinks, but whether your site has rank really means nothing.

    Well, I'm a link broker, so naturally I think THOU$AND$. :)

No, seriously, for a brand new site, 2 or 3 backlinks from high quality, very relevent webpages with pr4, good google backlinks, and decent traffic ought to get you from a pr0 to a pr3 in the next pr update.

That alone should rocket you up in the SERPSs for your targeted keyphrases, and get you a nice bit of base traffic to work with.

If you look thoroughly, you can probably get 3 quality pr4 backlinks on relevent pages for about $15 per month.

This is a pretty good one

    http://www.linkdiagnosis.com/

youve got to wonder about where it gets its information from though - this one users yahoo site explorer, but essentially PR is meaningless -- the quality and authority of your site will be judged by google and advertisers on 100's of different levels, page rank -- is just one

Agreed, page rank is just one factor..... but currently it's the most important one. In order of importance, I rank the relevant factors as such...

    1.) PR
2.) Google Backlinks (not backlinks from yahoo site explorer)
3.) Uniqueness (does it pass copyscape?)
    4.) Traffic
    5.) Number of outbound links
    6.) Age of domain

    I have to disagree -

it not the most important and it shouldn't be and obsession in your linkbuilding campaign, your building natural backlinks remember, or you're destined to get pinged, natural backlinks, organic backlinks dont have a PR quest,

PR 6 websites do not out rank PR 1 websites in google. Fact.

Hmmmm -well its a system, looks like a system to price a website for a text link ad... the buzz Vince update was a pagerank algorithm changed confirmed by cuttsy himself, and perhaps it had something to do with Bing...

but yea, i cant remember what the thread was about.... still, pagerank is nothing, rubbish, do you think the human on the end of google has even heard of pagerank? Its infected sites like a darn virus, painted us with some kind of google bad ju ju,

    Brrrr

Fact, a PR6 webpage will have MUCH better ranking on SERPs than the exact same page if it was a PR1.

If you disagree with that, well then it's Friday, and I'll have some of what you're smoking.

You shouldn't OBSESS over pagerank. But It should be ONE of the many factors yo should use to determine the quality of a site before purchasing an ad on it.

And actually, relevancy is more important, because you shouldn't even consider a link on a site that isn't related, regardless what its PR is.

If you ignore PR on the sites you are evaluating to attempt to get backlinks from, then you are missing the boat.

    It is the most import

PR 6 websites do not out rank PR 1 websites in google. Fact.

Boom town -- i agree, but when it comes to blog posting i do see a value in terms of pricing, but essentially its the strength of the TBPR, you can have a strong pr4 or a week pr4...

shades of grey, or green, and the wizzards pipe... i must toke on...
