Ok. I don't know what G is claiming, but I can show you clear results from experiments that I did with this kind of linking. I tried multiple linking and then only front page links - THEY DO NOT WORK the same way as they used to and they bring only minimal portion of what a different class C network link will bring. I also can show you example of that! I've been playing around with this topic for quite a while because I'm trying to promote some "wrestling" websites and there are not too many on the Internet as the sport is very small. I've opened numerous domains (20-30) and I've interlinked them for link farming. In the beginning - 2003 the interlinking seemed to show pretty good profit pr wise, but soon in 2005 I've noticed that one by one they pr was decreasing on each of them. From pr 4 on all those small pages they are now pr 1 and 2 and this is a simple demonstration of the decrease of PR for this king of sites. If you're saying that Matt Cutts said this is a myth, explain the Sandbox issue he is also claiming to be a myth but in reality it's pretty real! Cheers, Venetsian.
hey you already answered that message and we agreed Actually we still do I'm still saying you're correct. Link farming this way does not pay. But! When you do "normal" back linking by normal white hat methods you shouldn't worry if you already have a link from the same C class. I cannot confirm or deny what you said about 2-3 links being ok and more being suspicious. I doubt the rule is so simple and I speculate there is no cutoff number at all but rather a relative number (relative to other links that you have because I mean, if you have like 4 links total and 3 of them are from the same IP address it's pretty obvious it's not very "natural". But if you're big and have many links there is a higher possiblity that you have some links from the same C class and it doesn't mean anything really). You mean Matt Cutts says Sandbox doesn't exist? That's not true. He must've refered to some myths about it I bet there are many. They most probably don't call it "Sandbox" in Google and it's not like you have totaly different rules for new and old websites. He confirmed that they have some different rules for new websites and they are also different for different sites. I guess he must've thought about a false idea that they keep you site somewhere and then get it out because it's not so simple. Anyways from a Google query like: sandbox matt cutts returns a lot of articles I wish I had time to read some
