Keep in mind that Google doesn't have to "prove" you're selling links. Google is only responsible to its own standards, not a legal standard. And having the footer or sidebar of a site's main page filled with over a dozen links to unrelated sites is so common to sites that sell links would certainly get a site flagged for a manual review, if not an automated penalty.
I 've had my site drop to 0 (3 days ago it was PR4) gamesonline4free.net I'd be delighted to hear your opinions I know I have 17 footer links but I swear I have seen plenty of sites that have a lot more than that could it be something else ?
Looking at the footer of http://www.gamesonline4free.net/ (which is also showing a PageRank of 0) I see about a dozen links that include several unrelated sites. Not much of a mystery here.
I could not agree more. If you took a hit in the serps and traffic is down, consider removing those links and requesting re-inclusion.
I would say sites for used cars and used trucks are at best only remotely related to travel, but how is a site that sells heavy equipment related to travel? It hardly matters. I think Google has removed the PageRank from your site for selling links. If you see a more likely explanation, that's fine. But given what we know about Google recently imposing this identical penalty on sites that sell links I doubt you'll find one.
Clusters of links together, completely unrelated. It'd be completely different if you did a blog post, for example: Today I came across a site called [url=linkhere]blah blah blah[/url] and found it very useful. It has blah blah blah, and some one two three's and a b c's too Code (markup): Whereas Google can easily tell if a link is bought or sold by showing as: [url=link1]link1[/url][url=link2]link2[/url][url=link3]link3[/url][url=link4]link4[/url][url=link5]link5[/url] Code (markup): etc. It's more than obvious.
Whether page rank has been updated? in February? Because one of my new sites is showing PR2 and some internal pages of my directory is showing PR4.
It certainly wouldn't be a piss out of the ocean. It happened at the start and the backend of October 2007, so I can't see why it's not possible. Maybe it's just the PR system rolling itself out, after all, many sites internal pages got PR whereas the homepage got no PR. Especially my first signature links .com equivalent, that pissed me off. Anyway, I'm hoping that site will increase in PR. In fact, I'm hoping all my sites will. Mwoahahaha
two of my sites PR4 and PR3 are now PR0 . I wonder why ... one of the sites www.arcade7.net which the link are only ( my sites + some links exchanges .) I wonder if this a penalization or an error
