yesterday i was a pr3 today i am a pr0 and all datacenters show 0. what caused this and will it come back?
Hmm, did any of your internal pages have PR and if so, did all pages PR drop to zero? Can you give a site url?
probably because they are rollbacking the distributed PR nyahahaha...you can ignore PR though, its not that important...
the site is http://tinyurl.com/2n4gdh it went from pr0 to 3 the last update im pretty sure it did not have internal pr yet. the site is two months old
I wonder why it lost PR...Penalised slightly. Maybe Google will finally correct the January PR update? Who knows. Despite those that say PR is not important, Google has a different take on it: http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html Stands to reason an unimportant webpage would be nowhere near page 1 in the serps.
err.. i also lost page rank .. bad. i was 6 then it fell to 4 or something. im still sorta noob at this and i dont know why that happened.
When about did you lose pagerank? At the last update ~January 12th, or did it drop sometime after then?
# PageRank Technology: PageRank reflects Google's view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that Google believes are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results. http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html
I suspected for a while that footer links risked being penalized. Since footer links are not in a highly visible area of the Webpage, it stands to reason they would be red flagged. Having a large number of footer links may be the nail in the coffin. Google does not have to prove those are paid links. They can do as they please, and that leaves us webmasters the only option of compliance if we want to get traffic from Google. It's a shame so many are getting caught up in this very subjective paid link campaign by Google.
they are getting just as bad and Digg. These once " community friendly " sites get so big they forgot who helped them get there and just give you the giant middle finger in the end
