    When the major PR updation going on, the PR is actually gone, and in some case PR goes temporarily. If your PR gone temporary then It will come automatically. If your PR actually gone then it will be PR1,0 from PR2,3 etc, but not N/A. and in case of temporary pr change it will be N/A (uncatched). in this case don't worry.

    This is experienced usually when you buy domains.

    Although none of the tools will show that domain PR is fake, the domain can still have fake PR.

    When the next PR update happens, usually that PR goes away.

    there is not any drawback. your page rank goes down, as you are doing proper SEO for this. You have to quality backlink the site.

    yeah not really sure what's up with that. but even with downtimes of pagerank, continue backlinking and building your site. from what i've heard, PR isn't all too important...i could be wrong.

    PR is nothing but worth for link trading... update the site with quality content and make it user friendly, informative for users .. So no need to worry on PR drops and work on SEO for SERP
